Acupuncture | Oriental Medicine

Rebecca Christy Gemperle is no stranger to medicine having been exposed to it through her mother since a young girl. Oriental Medicine in particular speaks to Rebecca as a way for her to offer a variety of healing techniques for a diverse set of health conditions ranging from anxiety to infertility. Rebecca strives to create an environment where individuals can step away from the every day stresses of life and feel relaxed, safe, important, accepted and listened to. For Rebecca, seeing patients regain hope and get excited about their health is the greatest reward. Additionally, she loves that she can take her tools for healing with her when she's on the go – in any Chicago community or outside the country while traveling.

Rebecca has been a license-board certified acupuncturist since 2007. She earned her master's degree in Oriental medicine, graduating with honors, and her bachelor's degree in nutrition at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. She also earned a bachelor's degree from DePaul University in public policy. She has also completed advanced training in acupuncture in Beijing, China, and served as a volunteer acupuncturist through the Bumi Sehat Birthing Center in Bali, Indonesia.

Rebecca not only loves forming unique bonds with her patients at Healing Foundations but she also enjoys bonding with Mason, her adorable dog. (Aka "Mace" for his protective nature.) Cooking and wine top her list of interests however she claims to be of amateur status when it comes to both. Rebecca is also passionate about design with Dwell magazine being her favorite guilty pleasure.

Down the road Rebecca sets her sights on helping educate people in more communities about Holistic Health and be a source of information for new practitioners. Her next goal is to establish an aspect of Healing Foundations focused on helping post-war veterans as well as provide services for those who may not otherwise be exposed to Oriental Medicine and its benefits.
