Our StoryOur first encounter with one another was during acupuncture school. Years later, we reconnected at a continuing education seminar. As we talked, we realized we had similar goals for the field of acupuncture. We were both passionate about advancing our profession through advocacy work. We each had a desire for healing people of all ages, cultures and sexual preference, no matter what their status or health history entails. We also both saw ourselves as influential leaders of acupuncture in our community.
Over the course of the next two years, we researched and meticulously planned what it would look and feel like to combine our vision with action. Together, we teamed with like-minded professionals in Roscoe Village. Among them are an Asian bodywork therapist, a Reiki Master, craniosacral expert and a nutritionist. The result is Healing Foundations. A foundation is a body orground in which parts can rest upon. Healing Foundations provides you the tools and services to maintain a well-balanced foundation so that your body, mind and spirit can function optimally and you can rest and restore peacefully.
We know our work, Healing Foundations exists beyond the walls of our Roscoe Village/Logan Square office. This is why we take our work into the community by donating our time and gentle healing touch. In addition, we give to local charities and appear at many neighborhood health fairs and street festivals in order to educate the public about acupuncture and alternative health care options.
